Momentic vs Testorim. Two AI testing tools, built for different teams.
Momentic is an AI testing platform built around engineering workflows. Tests are plain-English steps stored as YAML in your repository and run on a Chromium-family browser. It is billed in credits: a free plan with 2,000 credits a month, then $125 a month for 10,000.
Testorim is built for small teams without a QA engineer. A test is one sentence; its agent plans and runs the steps and writes a report anyone on the team can read. Plans are flat, by runs, and Team adds Firefox and WebKit.

| Aspect | Testorim | Momentic |
|---|---|---|
| How a test is written | One plain-English sentence; the agent plans the steps. | Plain-English steps, kept as YAML. |
| Where tests live | In your Testorim workspace. Saved tests export to Playwright code. | In your repository, reviewed like code. |
| Browsers | Chromium on every plan, Firefox and WebKit on Team. | A Chromium-family browser: Chromium, Google Chrome or Chrome for Testing. |
| Pricing | Flat monthly plans: $19 (50 runs), $79 (300 runs) or $199 (1,000 runs). | Credits: 1 per step, 2 per AI step. 2,000 a month free, then $125 a month for 10,000, then $0.01875 a credit. |
| Free start | No free plan. A 3 day trial, with a card. | A free plan, no card. |
| Who reads the results | A written report, video and trace you can forward to anyone. | Engineers, in the repository and CI. |
Momentic counts credits per step, with an AI step counting twice, so the cost of a test depends on its length. Testorim counts runs and browser minutes: Pro is 300 runs and 600 browser minutes for $79 a month, whatever each test does inside its run.
Where Momentic is the better pick.
- A free plan with no card, so you can try it on real tests before paying anything.
- Tests in your repository: reviewed, versioned and branched like the rest of your code.
- More browsers at once: up to 25 hosted browsers on its pay-as-you-go plan.
Where Testorim is different.
- Firefox and WebKit on Team, next to Chromium.
- The price does not depend on how many steps, or AI steps, a test takes.
- People who never open the repository can write and read tests: a founder, a product manager, support.
- A run says when it could not confirm something (needs review), and a failure says whether the app or the test is at fault.
- In the same plans: scheduled runs, GitHub pull request comments, Slack and email alerts, visual comparisons and a Chrome extension.
Which to pick.
Pick Momentic if your engineers want tests as reviewed YAML in the repository and you want to start on a free plan.
Pick Testorim if the people who know the flows are not the people in the repository, you need Firefox and WebKit, or you want a flat price per run.
Quick answers
How much does Momentic cost?
Momentic's pricing page lists a free plan with 2,000 credits a month and no card, a $125 a month plan that includes 10,000 credits with extra credits at $0.01875 each, and custom Enterprise pricing. A normal step costs 1 credit and an AI step 2.
Does Momentic test in Firefox or Safari?
Momentic's documentation says web tests run on a Chromium-family browser (Chromium, Google Chrome or Chrome for Testing). Testorim runs Firefox and WebKit, the engine behind Safari, on its Team plan.
Is there a Momentic alternative without credits?
Testorim prices by runs and browser minutes on flat monthly plans, so a long test costs the same run as a short one, within the plan's minutes.
